We have a great evening lined up for you at next Tuesday’s Mess Night; on 9th July at 8pm we have Arnold Gutbucket coming along to entertain you.

Arnold has a great repertoire of gags, props, audience participation and music – all combine to make for a great family-friendly show which you won’t want to miss.

Since 1979 Arnold has travelled the world performing in a variety of venues. He has appeared on television as well as live shows where he has performed alongside many top names from the showbiz world, including the likes of Chas & Dave, Engelbert Humperdink, Shakin’ Stevens, The Drifters and many more…

Arnold has written comedy material for other entertainers and as an actor he’s appeared in many TV productions alongside household names such as Faye Dunaway, Colin Firth, David Tennant and Jack Whitehall.

Evening Shipmates

At tomorrow’s Mess Night (Tuesday 11 June) we have musician, Ian Roberts, coming along to entertain us.

Ian has been performing around the Bournemouth and Ringwood areas for nearly 30 years. He has also lived in the north of England and was well known around Manchester playing the pubs and clubs at various events. After moving back to the south coast last year, he picked up where he left off and is now playing at lots of different venues across Hampshire and Dorset.

His sets are acoustic and he has a huge range of songs in his repertoire, playing covers from the 1950s right through to today – along with a few originals which he is hoping to record and release this year!!

We look forward to welcoming Ian tomorrow, and hope you will come along and enjoy the music.

Tomorrow night’s mess night is our Birthday Party with live entertainment and a wonderful spread provided by Candy, and all paid for by the RNA.

We really hope you’ll be able to come along and help us celebrate.

We are nearing the cut off point for this year’s membership, so If you haven’t yet paid your subs for 2019, you can do that tomorrow.

Just a brief note to remind you that our next Mess Night is on Tuesday 12th February 2019.

This is an important meeting in our Branch calendar as it is our Annual General Meeting, so we look forward to welcoming as many of you that can make it.

And… if you haven’t yet paid your 2019 subs, please could you make sure that you pay the Treasurer asap (£24).

We hope you had a relaxing Christmas, and we look forward to seeing you at the first Mess Night of the new year on Tuesday 8 January 2019.

The evening promises to be an interesting one, as our two Chevaliers will be giving a talk about their recent trip to the Normandy beaches.

Oh, and a gentle reminder, that membership subs are due on the night.

Del Stevens will provide our entertainment for the evening, and there will also be some great prizes to be had from the Christmas Raffle.

Dress code – blazers, Christmas jumpers/hats optional!
