Shipmate Ron Cunningham, aged 102, was at the Cenotaph this morning marching with the Royal Naval Association at the National Service of Remembrance.
Although Ron moved away from Ferndown some years ago to be closer to his family in Newcastle, he remains also on the books of Ferndown Branch.
He is a veteran of D-Day and was joined in London by fellow WW2 veterans, Betty Withers, Bill Jones and Donald McAngus, representing a generation whose courage, resilience and sacrifice must never be forgotten.

Ferndown Branch were also represented at the Ferndown RBL Service of Remembrance at St Mary’s, where Chairman S/m Ralph Dodds laid a wreath on behalf of fallen shipmates.
